I have a feeling it will not be as good as LOM, but Gene Hunt is in it and it has the same writers so I am hopefull.

Well, I'll give it a try, although I'm not overly keen on Keely Hawes.

It'll have to be good to equal LOM - half the joy of watching that was wondering if Sam was dead, in a coma, hallucinating or what, apart from watching John Simm and Philip Glenister.

There are already arguments about the Audi Quattro that Gene Hunt drives being the wrong model for the year, and the series hasn't started yet.

Tomorrow night -can't wait. Actually tonight -is that the time ?

Well - I've just watched Ashes to Ashes - was it good, or was it brilliant. Only criticism I have is that it's not set in Manchester now - I worked in and around Manchester for years and recognised a lot of the LOM locations. I suppose they're all gone now.

Anyway -roll on next Thursday.

Glad you liked it.
I thought it was absolute rubbish.
Keely Hawes dreadful, and somehow "Gene Hunt" seemed a parody.
Too cliched, somehow, and bitterly disappointing.

I`m curious to know what Alex's parents have got to do with everything, but not sure if I'm curious enough to keep watching!

Might just look for an episode guide online, instead!

Anyone else?

I really enjoyed the 2nd ep. I loved the Gene quotes my fave being "I see your drunk in charge of a handbag and dressed like a tart again" or somthing like that. I am now more hopeful it will be really good.

What could I have seen that Keely Hawes was in, where I thought she was pathetic.
I know she was Zoe in Spooks so I don't think it was that.
