EastEnders should stick to what they do best.
Two handers.
They absolutely excel at them.
It gives actors a chance to showcase just how good (or bad) they really are.

Coronation Street should stick to what they do best.
Farce.

Emmerdale is a farce.
Things are never so bad that they can't get worse.

 Emmerdale is the most boring, imo. I know everyone has different tastes, and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or anything, but I think Emmerdale is awful.

You take it correctly!
I like Coronation Street, but even that has its "moments." It seems more consistent, but that's just my opinion. Some people I know say it is too boring for them. I say Emmerdale wins that contest. No offense to anyone who likes it, btw. <ducks>
The one I like the most, believe it or not, is Doctors. You can watch an episode, and not watch again for a while, and not be totally lost, or watch it for the first time, and each episode seems self contained. You don't have to know the whole background to understand what's going on.
The other one that's ok, is Holby, but I don't know if that even comes under a Soap Opera.
But, Eastenders. OMG. I don't know if I should even start ranting about why it sucks. I might never stop.

Did you see the recent episode of Doctors where the two doctors that are married (sorry, don't know the characters names) got involved in 'swinging' and one liked it and one did not.

Its getting too far fetched really

The only thing that character is good for, is getting on Sean's and Stacy's nerves, which is fun to watch considering how annoying those two characters are in their own rights. Unfortunately, Jean Slater also annoys us the viewers. Oh well.

 I am sorry to say I missed that! Darn it! Are you talking about the Woodsons? I think the woman is Dr. Georgina Woodson, and the man is Ronnie Woodson?
The writers of these shows have to keep our attention, and I get that, but you are right. If it's too far fetched, we the viewers just go, ok that was dumb.
We can only suspend disbelief so far.
