I came across the News from My Big Desk blog today, which triggered another name for the GLOSSARY. Included is an interesting article asking why Gerry McCann is not working with Missing Children Europe in Brussels, an affiliate of the American-based National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), but prefers instead to jet off to Washington, DC, to work with NCMEC there?

http://frommybigdesk.blogspot.com/2008/ ... thing.html

I will add:

Missing Children Europe = A Brussels-based organization for the European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children affiliated with NCMEC; this non-profit organisation has 21 member NGOs from 15 countries of the European Union all working internationally "to prevent and fight the sexual exploitation of children and assist parents and investigators confronted with the disappearance of a child"; Gerry McCann, however, prefers to work with NCMEC in the United States, rather than in Brussels, for his Wider Agenda; see also National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

Tripz, would you like to define Topspot in the context of the McCann Case?

Many thanks!

Pink Holes,

all kind of strange information is goming out of them !

( they work other way than black holes )

example:
Quote:
Mitchell said he was not surprised by the inconsistencies in the initial accounts. 'You had nine people in a bar without watches on, without mobile phones, and absolute panic set in when they realised what had happened.

(I don't mean anything nasty ! Even it would be very tempting to say: Clarence is a pinkhole)

This afternoon on Public Radio here, I learned that the derogatory name play on a Mc or Mac pre-fixed surname was used in a high school in the States more than fifty years ago. It came to light during John McCain's current "autobiography" tour, when it was learned that as a teenager he was known as "McNasty."

I have therefore added to the GLOSSARY the entry:

McNasty = Derogatory name for John McCain, the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, when he was in high school; see also McNasties

and under McNasties = Derogatory name for Gerry and Kate McCann

have added: see also McNasty

It just goes to show that there is nothing new under the sun! Which leads to the question, were the fellow students of John McCain derided for calling him McNasty; as trolls have derided posters using a McNasty or a variation for Gerry or Kate McCann on the 3A forum?

Which makes you realise just how irresponsible this lot were no watches, no mobile phones to work out when they should be checking again and it's strange but in all this time what about the Payne's children they don't even appear to have been checked b****y monitor or not.

Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous.

Excuse my ignorance if I am posting this in the wrong place.

If none of the Tapas 9 were wearing watches (Clarence's version) how could they know the exact times that they checked the kids? Did they check the time before leaving the bar and check again when they returned. Did they all look at a clock in the bar every time someone turned up or left the table. More Clarrie spin methinks!

Has anyone had a good look at the video of the McCann's on the night Madeleine disappeared. I'm sure Gerry was wearing a watch. I doubt if he went back to the apartment and put one on especially for him to read out his appeal to the media. Could be my imagination though!

As for nobody having a mobile phone on them, what was Gerry using to make phone calls or sending texts with at the table as has been reported? Maybe he was sending messages by thought waves or something!

I think this is what you would call PINK SPIN. See Glossary on Page 1 for a definition, vera. You are absolutely right about the watches. This is being discussed on several threads, and I remember one person saying that a doctor never goes out without a watch. My former spouse was a doctor and he even wore a watch while pursuing water sports.

I think we should call "red herrings" "pink herrings" or "pink kippers" :D

I personally like the "pink kippers" better :D
