On Wednesday, May 9th 2001, over twenty military, intelligence, government, corporate and scientific witnesses came forward at the National Press Club in Washington, DC to establish the reality of UFOs or extraterrestrial vehicles, extraterrestrial life forms, and resulting advanced energy and propulsion technologies. The weight of this first-hand testimony, along with supporting government documentation and other evidence, will establish without any doubt the reality of these phenomena, according to Dr. Steven M. Greer, director of the Disclosure Project which hosted the event.

Is the truth really out there? At last, the MoD opens its files - The Independent, UK - Friday, 4 May 2007

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 47376.html

Last week, Captain Ray Bower saw strange lights in the sky. Now he, and thousands of others, may be allowed to discover the cause. By Robert Verkaik

"Unidentified object seen. Bright, yellow, thin, stationary. Size of 737. Second object same shape seen behind first at some distance... It could have been as much as a mile wide."

Not the words of a local leaving the Dog and Duck at throwing out time, but the most recent report by a British pilot of a sighting of an unidentified flying object.

It was logged by Captain Ray Bower, a 50-year-old pilot of 22 years experience, who made the observation during a flight over the Channel Islands last week.

If the truth really is out there, then Britain's growing army of UFO hunters hope that Capt Bower's report and thousands of other sightings of cigar-shaped objects and strange flashing lights will eventually prove it.

Bombarded by requests to see the evidence, the Ministry of Defence is to release Britain's official documents of UFO sightings, so the public can judge for themselves whether we are being visited by alien life forms.

A spokeswoman for the MoD said: "We are receiving a lot of requests at the moment to see this information so we have decided to put the reports on our website. But to give this some sort of context we have only ever been interested in reports that have a defence perspective."

The decision will be a blow to Britain's conspiracy industry which has found the MoD's secrecy over UFO sightings compelling evidence of a cover-up. It was only recently that the MoD acknowledged that a government UFO unit, known as S4F (Air) or DI55, even existed.

Capt Bower's report will now be examined by MoD investigators who will try to establish whether what he saw posed any threat to national security.

According to his local newspaper, Capt Bower spotted a bright-yellow light 10 miles west of Alderney while his plane was about 30 miles from the island and at 4,000ft. "It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. It was 2,000ft up and stationary," he said. "I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a 737. But it must have been much bigger. It could have been as much as a mile wide."

As he continued his approach to Alderney, he saw a second object further to the west. "It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was further away," he said. "It was closer to Guernsey. As I got closer to it, it became clear to me that it was tangible. I was in two minds about going towards it to have a closer look but decided against it because of the size of it. I had to think of the safety of the passengers first."

Capt Bower is not alone. Thousands of people have reported sightings to MoD. In 2004, the most recent documents available, the MoD's UFO unit received 88 reports.

But it is the dispassionate observations of pilots and military personnel which the MoD tends to take most seriously. Many of these reports have been transferred to the National Archives Office in Kew.

Britain's most famous UFO sighting was at Rendlesham Forest, near RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, in 1980. The "Rendlesham File" concerns a sighting of a "glowing" triangular object by US Air Force police.

The documents had only previously been made available to about 20 people who used the American Freedom of Information Act to gain access to them.

The report says that in the early hours of 27 December 1980 a number of US Air Force men witnessed the object hover in the sky, transmitting blue pulsating lights and sending nearby farm animals into a "frenzy". In a report entitled "Unexplained Lights", USAF Lt Col Charles I Halt, the deputy base commander at RAF Bentwaters, adjacent to Woodbridge, told how he witnessed an object emitting a "red sun-like light" moving through the trees.

The MoD's response read: "No evidence was found of any threat to the defence of the United Kingdom, and no further investigations were carried out."

Twenty seven years later the MoD still remains to be convinced of the case for visits by alien life forms.

Capt Bower has also kept an opened mind about his experience. "I'm certainly not saying that it was something of another world," he said. "All I'm saying is that I have never seen anything like it before in all my years of flying."

Britain's most notorious sightings

Devon, October 1967

Sgt Roger Willey and Pc Clifford Waycott were driving along a country lane when they were dazzled by bright white lights in the sky. There have been many theories, including spy ships sent by the Soviet Union.

Winchester, Hampshire, November 1976

Joyce Bowles and Ted Pratt claimed they were visited by aliens while driving on a country lane. They claim their car suddenly shook and then veered off the road into a grass verge. The car was subject to electrical interference as the engine roared. They spotted what appeared to be a cigar-shaped craft with three entities behind a window in the object. As they watched a bearded humanoid wearing a silver suit came out, walked to the car and looked in on the occupants. He then disappeared, and the couple were able to drive off.

Dechmont, West Lothian, November 1979

Bob Taylor's alleged encounter is the only recorded UK case officially investigated by police. Mr Taylor said he came across a large spherical object in a woodland clearing. He claimed two round objects with protruding metal spikes attached themselves to his trousers and began to drag him towards the UFO. The next thing he knew he was coming round lying face down on the grass. The police case is still open.

Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, 1980

This incident concerned a sighting of a "glowing" triangular object by US Air Force police in Rendlesham Forest, near RAF Woodbridge. In the early hours of 27 December 1980 a number of US Air Force men saw the object hover in the darkness, pulsating with light and sending nearby farm animals into a "frenzy". The MoD's response was a top secret memo that dismissed the event in terms of a threat to national security.

Somewhere over southern England, 1994

The crew of an Air France flight from Nice to London saw a giant disk that seemed change shape and colour. After a minute or so it disappeared.

UFO Sightings Brings Town To A Standstill - Daily Mail, UK - 26th July 2007

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1770

A crowd of 100 stunned stargazers brought a town centre to a standstill when five mysterious UFOs were spotted hovering in the sky.
Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawp and camera phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.

The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare's birthplace in Warwickshire on Saturday.

Although Air Traffic Control reported no unusual activity, some witnesses were convinced they were witnessing an extra-terrestrial spectacle.

The strange episode started just after 10.30pm, when the lights were seen hovering slowly over the town before three of them formed a triangular shape with one positioned just to the right.

A few minutes later a fifth came into view travelling towards the others at breakneck speed before slowing down and stopping a short distance away.

Sceptics dismissed the UFOs as nothing more than hot air balloons, fireworks or even lanterns which had broken loose from a local rugby club.

Others, however, claimed the speed and agility of the objects was unlike any known aircraft and said the odd movement, lack of noise and the length of time in the air discounted any man-made explanation.

Tom Hawkes, who captured these amazing images, spotted the lights during his girlfriend Kate Lyall's birthday at the One Elm pub.

He and the 15 other revellers were in the bar when they spotted some commotion outside.

Tom, 30, said: "We walked outside and there was at that time a growing crowd of about 60 people looking up at something in the sky.

"I saw this light appear, then three others. They came over our heads in formation but then manouvered into different positions.

"Three had formed a triangular shape and one was to the right. Then another one came hurtling towards the rest at what looked like a very fast speed. But as it neared them it suddenly slowed and stopped altogether.

"By this time more people had poured out onto the street. Two pubs had emptied, some people had come out of their houses and drivers slowed their cars.

"The objects were there for about half an hour. It was very eerie because they didn't make any sound and they stayed still before moving slowly beyond the horizon. There were no stars in the sky, just them.

"It was the most extraordinary thing I've ever seen and the way in which everyone gathered in the street to watch them reminded me of a scene from Independence Day."

The extraordinary scenes were also witnessed by some of the staff of the One Elm pub.

Chef Kern Griffiths, 26, said: "I saw five lights, we all thought they were hot air balloons at first because the glowing spheres looked like a burst of flames. But I couldn't see any outline of the balloon itself and they were travelling far too fast.

"Suddenly someone shouted 'look' and there were these bright dots fizzing across the sky.

"It was weird, they way they moved did look alien. Some people reckon they're fireworks but they were lit up in the sky for far too long, the local rugby club say they were lanterns that blew loose over the weekend but these objects were far too fast and too high up.

"They were unlike any aircraft I've seen. It's a mystery."

Hillary Potter from The British Earth Aerial Mystery Society (BEAMS) said they were being inundated with similar calls from across the country but said it was rare for such phenomena to be witnessed by so many people.

She said: "Such incidents have been on the increase recently. There are reports at the moment coming in from all over the country.

"We've had many reports of people seeing quite large unidentified objects in the skies. It's not going away, It seems these incidents are becoming more bold.

"People don't know what to do when they witness such sights and that's what we're here for. We take the reports very seriously."

A Mod Spokesman said: "The MoD does not have any expertise or role in respect of UFOs or flying saucer matters or to the question of the existence of extra terrestrial life forms, about which we remain totally open minded.

"I should add that to date the MoD knows of no evidence which substantiates the existence of these alleged phenomena. The MoD examines any reports of unidentified flying objects it receives solely to establish whether what was seen might have some defence significance.

"Namely whether there is any evidence that the UK air space might have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised foreign military activity.

"Unless there is evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom from an external military source, and to date no UFO report has revealed such evidence, we do not attempt to identify the precise nature of each sighting reported to us.

"We believe that rational explanations such as aircraft lights or natural phenomena could be found for them if resources were diverted for this purpose but its not the function of the MoD to provide this kind of aerial identification service."

Frankie Spray, from Wellesbourne Airfield, just outside Stratford, added: "The lights were nothing to do with us. None of our aircraft fly at night at this time of year.

"It's very bizarre but I've got no explanation as to what the lights were."

Birmingham Air Space which covers the skies over the town said they had not heard of any unusual activity showing up on the radar.

Mysterious Lights In Algarve Skies - The Portugal Resident - 16 November 2006

http://portugalresident.com/portugalres ... p?ID=16037

AN UNIDENTIFIED Flying Object (UFO) was spotted in the Algarve over the weekend, no less than three times in one night.

Miguel Horta and Noel Rodrigues, two friends and residents of Altura in Castro Marim, claim to have spotted a rotating object emanating blue and red light over their backgardens.

Miguel Horta, a 29-year-old receptionist, was leaving his house to go to work when he saw an object in the sky hovering over his back garden.

"It was travelling at a great speed and then suddenly slowed down and hovered. It emanated red and blue light as it rotated" he said.

Earlier that evening his friend Noel, a lifeguard from the same area, had shown him a picture of a strange object he had seen from his balcony. Miguel immediately called Noel to describe what he had just seen. Intrigued by their sightings, Noel decided to stay up into the early hours of the night, hoping to get a photo of the mysterious object. At 2am the lights appeared again and Noel captured an image of an object that looks eerily similar to what is now termed a flying saucer.

An hour and 45 minutes later, it appeared for a third time to the amazement of Noel, who later showed his photos to Miguel. "We both knew that what we saw was a foreign and strange object" he stated.

The sighting is the second in the Algarve in the past three months. In September, a holiday maker registered several sightings from September 8 until September 15, while staying at the Vale do Lobo resort.

UFOs sighted in Carvoeiro - The Portugal Resident - 08 November 2007

http://portugalresident.com/portugalres ... p?ID=22526

SIX UNIDENTIFIED flying objects (UFOs) were sighted and photographed on Tuesday night (November 6) around 11pm by a local resident in Carvoeiro.

Robert Wilkinson, owner of a bar in Carvoeiro, told The Resident: "There were six orange glowing orbs in the sky at around 11pm. These were moving horizontally across the sky in the same direction, when suddenly one changed direction and the other five followed it before disappearing somewhere above the sea".

Robert Wilkinson said that the distance of the orbs in the sky and their actual size was very difficult to judge, but he was certain that they were moving horizontally and not falling with gravity. The whole episode lasted approximately two minutes.

"I took photographs of the objects because they were unexplainable and silent," said Robert Wilkinson, adding "I am certain they were not related to fire works or weather balloons".

The camera used by Robert Wilkinson to photograph the UFO's was a Sony Cybershot DSC N1 digital camera with a 3x optical zoom.

A spokesman from the Portuguese Air Force said: "We as a military force and government entity do not have a specific department to deal with these sightings. Our radars are only equipped to detect aircraft that enter our airspace but nothing abnormal has been reported within the last 24 hours". She also said that no reported sighting had reached the Air Force related with the Algarve that night.

Luís Aparício, Director of the Associação de Pesquisa OVNI, the Portuguese UFO association, told The Resident: "UFOs are very common along the Algarve coast, especially between Cape St Vicent and Sines. Fishermen report many sightings of UFOs in the area".

Luís Aparício also said that many objects disappear in land especially around Odiáxere, which is believed to have something underground that attracts UFOs.

So was very pleased to see this whole section here. I,ve watched the D.P. video a few times over the last few years ~~it,s hard to see how people could remain neutral after listening to so much 1st. class evidence.I,m looking forward to following up the other links you,ve posted. Many thanks for those.I went to my 1st. Hi pakowki :D

Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for your message.

You are right, The Disclosure Project is very hard to ignore. If those people are telling the truth, then I think that the public do have a right to know.

Unfortunately, it seems that the only rights we have are ones to search for the truth ourselves, so that is what we must do.

Please feel free to add anything that you think might encourage discussion to the thread, I am sure you will have acquired some very interesting information at the conference.

Best wishes
DJ :D
