WE MUST HAVE A FEW CAGES RATTLED

Postby bjr » Tue Jan 29, 2008 1:39 pm

After todays attempt I guess we have a few cages rattled, thank you hosts for getting us up and running again and thank you for monitoring the traffic. They are working their socks off finding the culprits and have told us they will endeavour to stop this behaviour and take action if necessary.

We must be getting close to the truth. I would say.
To my critics
When I'm in a sober mood, I worry, work and think,
When I'm in a drunken mood, I gamble, play and drink,
But when my moods are over and my time has come to pass,
I hope I'm buried upside down, so the world may kiss my ar*e

Thanks again.
I don't understand "computer-speak" but my son does. He thinks the site was being saturated and muttered something about putting on a time delay so that posters can't post for 2 minutes after their last posting. Maybe I misunderstood him... :?

Many thanks all of you for your hard work.

Yes, cages are being rattled. Hopefully cages with bars on soon.

Locked and secure cages for child neglectors.

Just another stormfront, ridden out succesfully as usual. Thanks, bjr nbrado and all concerned - it is reassuring to know we are such a thorn in Team McCann's side.

Maybe they took special offence to the Chimpy fibs that they are a porn site.

Kudos to our team here and to Hostgator for manning the ramparts.

Totally agree, someone is getting worried. However they are not that bright are they? Do they think that saturating this site will actually change our minds?

What 'attempt', what 'behaviour' and what 'culprits' are you referring to?

The admin notice makes no mention of any issue / problem - just seems to imply the site is so successful it needs its own server (although I have never seen more than 200-300 people online, being generous) and there are denials all over the place that there has been any 'funny business' or any problem.

Actually there was a denial of service attempt on the website.
we were not HACKED
rather someone thought it would be amusing to send lots of unwanted data at our site.

The hosts have blacklisted those responsible.

that is what BJR was referring to.

The reason for moving was valid, we were hosting on a SHARED SERVER, meaning we was sharing the server with 3 other websites.

Our demands put too much of a load on the processors and was having a knock on effect to the other 3 websites.

this is what required the dedicated server.

hope that answers your question.
