Went to St Lucia in February ...absolutley gorgeous.
Great people, wonderful cocktails, music everywhere you go.

Also went to New York for Christmas shopping ....loved it.

Went to Dominican Republic last year, it's a beautiful island with beautiful people.
Went to Florida this year, loved that too.
Two extremes, one so laid back, the other, go go go. Too different to choose really.

I shall definately keep that in mind rammy (Dom Rep).
I had never flown until last December, swore I'd never get on a plane ...then i lost my Mum last June and realised life is too short.
Sods law ...got on a plane and LOVED IT

Confused - seriously, going there and seeing them live like they do but with massive smiles on their faces, they live with hardly anything but have no worry on their faces. There was a sort of inner peace in them all, something you can't put your finger on, but you can tell is there. It made me quite jealous in lots of ways.
You are right, life is too short. It's best to regret something you have done, than regret somethin you haven't........

Hi Southerncross,

Go to my new post SEE ELEPHANT ENCOUNTER IN HLUHLUWE! It has made world news. So pleased my beloved haunt has made it on the front pages. IMHO it is the prettiest game reserve in Southern Africa!

Nowhere exotic....Whitby, Nrth Yorkshire.
Wonderful place, friendly people, lots to do, the abbey is awesome especially at dusk. Cheap and some beautiful scenery and great walking on the nrth york moors. Lovely little beache in Whitby and near by, great fish n chips cooked in lard, fantastic ice-creams. Boat trips, markets, nr Goathland where they film Heartbeat...beautiful place. Auctions, antique shops, arcades, there really is something for everyone. there is so much to see and do and they have a goth convention there every year too.

Truely is a place for a traditional good old English jolly.
I'm on the payroll........WHAT...you didn't know!!!!!!

I've loved virtually everywhere I've been in the world, Singapore is a big favourite, but I lived in Kenya before coming here and despite all the problems there I miss it. I keep sneaking back now and then though :D

Agree Bugalugs - AND you can get away with wearing black lippy. :D :D Go to Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, most years and stay in a caravan. Take the dogs, walk miles, can't beat it.

Obviously, having been afraid to fly, all my previous holidays had been in the UK.
Have never done the Yorkshire coast though ...but been round almost every other coastal area ...i love the sea :D
Will add Whitby to my list.
Thank you.
