PD: Dead baby left in motel freezer for one year
Couple claim child died of natural causes, police say

Houston {Texas} police said a dead baby boy found in his mother's refrigerator freezer early Friday morning at a motel had been frozen for about one year.

The boy's mother, Crystal Sosa, 25, and her boyfriend, Dezmond Blake, 28, have been charged with tampering with evidence, a second-degree felony, in connection with placing the boy, named Devin, in the freezer, police said.

Other charges may be filed against them after an autopsy is completed.

The boy was wrapped in several blankets and placed in a gym bag. He was frozen solid, investigators said. It is unclear why the child was put in the freezer or how he died.

He said freezing the child might help preserve any evidence related to his death. However, he added, Devin may have died of natural causes, such as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and the couple then made bad decisions about what to do with his body.

He said people have an obligation to alert authorities when a child dies.

A television report on the same story said that investigators think the parents acted the way they did because they were pretty drugged up.

Well it wouldn't be that hard i'm sure, it would just depend on the size of the freezer. Can't really imagine a full size freezer in a holiday apartment thought TBH, think it would be a fridge with a small ice box at the top.
It was our holiday too
