The following article is not new and I did post it at the time, but for the benefit of people who have joined the forum in the past months I am reposting it. It does prove I think that a body can be hidden and not found for quite some time, and again, parents are involved.

.............

The body of a six month old baby was found in a cave in Fortuna five years after he disappeared
The trial has begun in Murcia of two people accused of murdering a six month old baby in the year 2000 and hiding the body in a cave in Fortuna. It was not until five years later that the body was discovered by a group of cavers.

First on the stand on Monday was Francisca María P.C., the child's mother. She told the court that she never reported her son missing as she was afraid that her boyfriend of the time, Salvador C.S., would go through with his threats to kill her. She said he forced her to work in a brothel, where she remained for some months before returning home and finding that her son was missing.

Salvador told the court that the mother took the child away from the family home, and that he had no idea what happened to him after that time. They face 20 and 18 years in prison, respectively.

Some fifteen witnesses are called to give evidence on the second day of the trial on Tuesday. Forensic experts have been unable to determine if the child's death was intentional or accidental, owing to the length of time his body remained undiscovered.

To be honest Bugalugs I don't know. Sometimes I don't read the news for days and I rarely watch TV, so sorry I can't say.
