And to the Church.
On Saturday we asked the Portuguese police if they had any objection to us coming back to the UK. We had assured them that we will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation and of course will return as requested and for our own emotional reasons.

Mebbe, Huge. What about the other one, whose laptop got ripped off full of emails from Maddy's parents?

The Catholic priest knows nothing. Now, the Anglican priest could very well have information. The Hubbards became close to Kate, even took care of the twins (letting a stranger anywhere near one of mine after a "stranger abduction" would have been last on my list, but I digress), and he is the one that had his computer and notes stolen. Right after house next door to Ameral was broken into.

Sounds like the work of the fearless Spanish DoDo Detective Agency. Wrong house, worthless sermon notes. And for this, Kate and Gerry are alledgedly paying them 30,000 euros??

Sorry...I meant the house next door to Amaral's. That's why I said "house next door"...stupid mistake on my part.

Interesting in light of the forbidden text messages.

How Maddy's parents conned a key to the church is another mystery.

I am thinking of unveiling my devil-worshipper's theory. (not connected to Fr.Pacheco, whom I know zero about)

So Hugh Jarse - what do you think?

edited for misspelling Hugh's last name.

You mean the one who claimed that he "was deceived" by the McCanns? Yes, I do believe that he has knowledge of something...perhaps not in great detail, but enough to know that he was deliberately taken advantage of and duped.

I hope that the PJ will be able to convince him to talk.

I would doubt the PJ needing anything from the priest, he is held in high regard in PDL, and in a catholic country they would not compromise his position.
They have enough to occupy the grey matter for a few more months

And does anyone really believe either of the McCanns would confess anything? Kate refuses to this day to admit she's done anything wrong and Gerry won't say anything that hasn't been printed on a sheet of paper and reviewed by his lawyers.

The priest knows nothing other than that the McCanns abused the goodwill of the people of Luz for several months, then fled without saying goodbye.
