Re: My First Grandchild

Tiny wrote:Thanks :) It's made me all broody  :)

That passes quite quickly :D I felt broody too for about a nano second, and could still have babies myself, but it is much nicer being a grandparent

Re: Rescue Centre Pets..Has Anyone Else Had One ?

I have 2 dogs from a breeder, but never again. When my 2 leave me, I will then foster rescue dogs or adopt. Far too many dogs needing homes to justify me going to a breeder again. My cats have all been rescue cats.

Re: I cannot get my head around

i cant understand it either. and ivf children are probably among the most wanted. I don't totally agree with that. Personal experience that I really don't want to go into, but in that case IVF was certainly used to elevate status. The couple chose to have IVF but could get pregnant naturally...

Re: Exactly WHY did they book that holiday?

They booked to go to MW at PDL because they were too tight to pay for Club Med.

Re: Kids-in-care couple ... gang put drug in drinks Mirror 7 May

Whatever happened to them, whether they were drunk, ill, victims, I have not seen a report to say they were grateful to the care their children received. A 'thank you' to the authorities would go a long way for me personally.

Re: Kids-in-care couple ... gang put drug in drinks Mirror 7 May

Whether the sangria was spiked by a gang or not, it doesn't excuse the McGuckins for abandoning their children in the first place. Anything could have happened to those kids while their parents were away/passed out. On the other hand, there are some people that have a vested interest in making sur...

Re: Neglect and punishment

Blimey, thats a loaded question :? IMO yes, I think if no other charges are brought, they should be charged with neglect. If that is all they are charged with, and all aspects of those days leading up to, including 3rd May and the days that followed are fully made public, then I personally don't...

Re: 'Stop your sobbing' John Gibson, Edinburgh Evening News

is this complete? it reads as if it should continue with a 'but ..............' No that's it. It's a strange piece isn't it. Short and critical of Kate, but really the criticism should be aimed at the likes of him and his colleagues that publish these pictures. He's right when he says that th...

'Stop your sobbing' John Gibson, Edinburgh Evening News

Noticed this tiny bit by John Gibson in tonight's Evening News. John Gibson is a columnist that does a weekly column. Couldn't see anything online, so you'll just have to take my word for it :D Kate, give over! All those snaps in the papers of you sobbing for the latest incarnation of the Maddi...

Re: What punishment should this couple receive.

Eamon and Antoinette McGuckin

I know this is a serious subject, but their names are a real mouthful :?

However, his father, Tony, who also lives in Maghera, said: "This is very much out of character. They are very good parents."
