Re: To all you SMUG Parent's out there - from Fiona Phillips lol

Dear Fiona

I don't really understand why you feel the need to behave in this way, but I know one day you will work out that you are on the wrong side. When you try to do compassion, here is an idea of what it requires - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bodlx2QLblY

Re: This is what I think will happen

Both the Aisenburg and McCann case just make me wish that there was a strategy in place, to cut these kinds of campaigns off at the roots. It simply cannot serve the interest of a missing child, to have this shared victimhood, where the parents become the story, the moment they are under suspicion...

Re: Seeing the Aprt. from the Tapas Bar means nothing...

Well at least the photos bring home the potential for accidents for 3 very young children. The photo of the window, with the car parked just outside, illustrates beautifully McCanns' definition of 'it just felt so safe'. When I was first married, my husband and I did quite a bit of babysitting f...

Re: Baron Stevens of Kirkwhelpington

I'd like to ask him this : Who went to PDL the very next day to endorse the abduction theory ? It drew the world media's attention to the couple as victims, putting the investigation under enormous strain. How many times have you witnessed a police investigation being subject to this kind of pressur...

Re: To Mr and Mrs McCann.Unwanted media attention ? Bullcrap.

:bounce: says it all

I don't know how they dared release the footage of little Madeleine stumbling up the steps to the plane, to go on to defend the leaving of her and her siblings alone in the apartment.

Re: McCanns happy if the police shelve the case !! Clarrie back

For people who just had the bad luck to choose the same holiday destination as the McCanns, at the same time, this must seem incredible and worrying. The whole tenor of the media campaign and the Govt support, shouts that the wrong testimony for this McCanns is really not welcome, it is intimidating...

Re: How close is CM coming to committing a very serious crime?

He will not emerge smelling of roses, more likely, smelling of the stuff you spread round them.

Re: Staring Through the Looking Glass (but I don't want to)

For me, New Labour was swept to power on the desire for change from the Conservatives, not the personality of Blair. I think the media swung in fast to embrace him as the UK's version of President Kennedy. For the public, I think the misery set in very quickly with the spin, voters simply did not ...

Re: How long before K Mccann becomes self-appointed ambassador?

I think she is learning that the only fitting memorial to her daughter, is the truth. Despite the media's round the clock attempts, the world does not love her, she simply cannot compete with the reality of both her daughter's innocence and her daughter's absence.

Re: Staring Through the Looking Glass (but I don't want to)

Vanessa Allen's articles are quite extraordinary when you know (by reading them in the PT press, for example) the stories she picks up to construct her texts: quotes misatributed, changed timelines, etc. She must have had quite a training. Hi Pear, interesting how many of these journalists were a...

Re: Staring Through the Looking Glass (but I don't want to)

Brown was faced with the direct appeals to him from the family, as the couple's situation had considerably worsened, several steps down the road. My focus on Blair is that the early days set the tone. Remember the consulate official's story that came to light, wanting to confirm whether it was sen...
